The photo of Schloss Arenenberg, dating from 1840, was taken shortly after Hortense Bonaparte and her famous son Napoléon III, later Emperor of France, lived there. According to receipts found inside, they were already enjoying so-called gaufrettes from Gottlieben back then. The valuable golden embossing makes the modern re-launch of this box a real masterpiece. Filled with the classic mixture.
