Our new Earl Grey Hüppen bring the history of the famous tea to life in a delicious, crispy wafer - inspired by the legend that made Earl Grey tea world-famous.
The tea was named after Charles Grey II, Earl Grey, in the 19th century and was traditionally made from pure Chinese teas. Although it is now known that Earl Grey himself was not the inventor of the tea, numerous legends surround the creation of this unique tea. One of the best known is that during a storm on a British merchant ship, a barrel of bergamot oil accidentally tipped into a barrel of black tea. When the ship arrived in England, Earl Grey tasted the tea and was so impressed by its unique aroma that he had it produced and sold from then on.
The aroma of our Earl Grey Hüppen is unmistakable and is reminiscent of the strong scent of black tea. The taste is dominated by bergamot, which provides a pleasant citrus freshness. Together with the crispy wafer, this creates a unique taste experience that will delight tea lovers.
Thanks to its size, the manufactory bag is an ideal gift or treat for in-between meals.
