A tour of Gottlieber Hüppen is a fascinating experience that enables you to immerse yourself in the magical world of our factory. Our experienced tour guides will take you on an emotional journey and show you step by step how our unique Gottlieber wafer rolls and delicious chocolate specialties are created. You will get a real sense of the passion and dedication that goes into every single product.
Tours of Gottlieber Hüppen are very special experiences as they enable you not only to taste our delicious products for yourself but also to get to know the people behind the brand. You will get a real sense of the love of detail, creativity and enthusiasm that goes into every single wafer roll and all of our chocolate specialties.
Tours of Gottlieber Hüppen generally take around 1.5 hours. During this time, you will have the opportunity to get to know our factory, gain insights into our production processes and try our delicious wafer rolls.
The tour costs CHF 7 per adult and CHF 5 for school pupils (a small gift is included). Payment can be made in advance or in cash at the Gottlieber site.
Payment for your tour can be made conveniently in cash, by card or with TWINT at the Gottlieber factory.

Group tours take place between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Tuesdays to Thursdays. Please note that we do not offer tours during our production break in the summer or during the high season in November and December. Depending on the time of day and season, it is possible that some machines will not be in operation.
Yes, we will be happy to organize private tours for groups of between 10 and 40 people. For groups of fewer than 10 people, we will charge our minimum fee of CHF 70 for the group. Please just get in touch to arrange a suitable appointment and plan an unforgettable experience for your group.
Unfortunately, we do not currently offer factory tours for individuals. We can only accept group bookings for between 10 and 40 people. The only way to book an individual tour is to pay the minimum fee of CHF 70.
Children under the age of 10 are not allowed to be taken into the production rooms. Children and school classes aged 10 and over are very welcome.
During the tour, you will be spending time on the premises of a food production company. It is therefore important that you only attend if you are healthy. Please see our guidelines for visitors for more information. Our employees will be available at all times to answer questions and provide further assistance if required.
Hygiene coats, hair nets and, if necessary, beard nets must be worn in the production rooms. Shorts and skirts are not allowed. Please wear flat, closed shoes with socks or tights and remove all jewelry (necklaces, earrings and, if possible, wedding rings) before the tour. It is not permitted to take handbags, other luggage items and any other objects on the tour (we have storage facilities for these).
During the tour, you must follow the instructions of our tour guides. Do not touch or put your hand in machines and production lines, and please be sure to maintain a safe distance from unpackaged products.
Unfortunately, the production rooms are not wheelchair-accessible.
Unfortunately, we do not offer drinks receptions at our factory. We can recommend the Porto Sofie Hotel for a drinks reception before or after the tour. You would have to organize this yourself.
Unfortunately, photography is not permitted during the tour. We would be happy to take a group photo for you before or after the tour.
Eating and drinking is not permitted during tours. The consumption of chewing gum and candy is also prohibited. Please note that bathroom availability is limited.
Yes. After the tour you will have an opportunity to buy products from Gottlieber Hüppen and take your own piece of Swiss craftsmanship back home with you. Discover our varied range of wafer rolls and other delicious specialties in our lakeside café, situated directly next to our manufacturing facility. Please pay attention to the opening hours.
If you arrive by car, there are limited parking spaces available directly at our manufactory. Cars can also park here. If the parking spaces at our Manufaktur are full, there is a paid public parking lot on Gottlieberstrasse, directly at the entrance to the village, which is just a few minutes’ walk away.
Coaches can drop off passengers directly at our manufactory (please note the narrow access roads and turning possibilities) and be parked in the public parking lot.
If you prefer to travel by train, Tägerwilen-Gottlieben railroad station is also just a few minutes' walk from our factory.
If you have to cancel your tour booking at Gottlieber Hüppen, please contact us as soon as possible so that we can make your place available to others. We ask for your understanding that it may not be possible to refund bookings that are canceled at short notice.
Cancellations up to 14 days before the agreed date are free of charge, except for an administration fee. If the tour is canceled at a later date or the participants fail to turn up and do not give a reason, the full price must be paid.
Yes. In addition to tours, we also offer Chocolate Workshops (for up to 12 people), at which you will make delicious chocolate creations under the guidance of our chocolate specialists. It is also possible to hire our Idea Factory for workshops, management meetings or a creative breakout session with your team. Before or after the tour, we will also be happy to welcome you at our Gottlieber lakeside café and factory store, which has its own terrace and is situated directly on the banks of the idyllic Seerhein river. We are happy to accept advance reservations.
